Catalina knelt in her garden, surrounded by a vibrant array of flowers that seemed to dance in the gentle breeze. She gently touched the petals of a nearby rose, her eyes closed as she inhaled the sweet scent.
She's so small and short. She's tiny that you'll think she's a dwarf.
Her brown hair is so long that it's touching the bag of her legs.
"Good morning, my lovelies," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
"Isn't it a beautiful day today? The sun is shining, and the birds are singing. I'm so grateful to have you all in my life."
As she spoke, a soft breeze rustled the leaves of the flowers, and Catalina smiled, feeling as though they were responding to her words.
"I know, I know, you're all thinking about the upcoming harvest festival," she continued, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure to enter you all into the competition. I just know you'll win first prize."
This is how she talks to flowers in the back of their yard. You'll think she's mad.
Just as Catalina was about to continue her conversation with the flowers, she heard a gentle voice behind her.
"Hey, kiddo, I'm heading downtown to run some errands. Would you like to tag along?"
Catalina turned to see her adopted father, Tony, standing behind her with a warm smile on his face. She hesitated for a moment, unsure if she wanted to leave her garden.
"I don't know, Dad," she said, looking back at the flowers. She doesn't like going out.
"I was just talking to my friends here. They need me to take care of them."
Tony chuckled and walked over to Catalina, ruffling her hair affectionately.
"I'm sure they'll be fine for a few hours, sweetie. Besides, I could use some company. We can grab some lunch together and catch up on each other's day."
Catalina thought for a moment, weighing her options. She did love spending time with her father, and it had been a while since they'd had a chance to talk just the two of them. And she can grab some romantic novels from Mrs Mendy.
"Okay, Dad," she said finally, standing up and brushing off her knees.
"I'll come with you. But just for a few hours, and then I have to come back to my garden. They're counting on me." She said.
Tony smiled and put his arm around Catalina's shoulders, leading her towards the house.
"I promise, kiddo, we'll be back before you know it. And I'm sure your flower friends will be just fine without you."
As they walked, Catalina looked back at her garden, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her. She knew that she was lucky to have such a loving father, and she was grateful for the special bond they shared.

Catalina and Tony finished the errands and they went to Mrs Mendy library.
Catalina and her dad, Tony, walked into Mrs. Mendy's old library, the musty smell of old books and the creaky floorboards beneath their feet transporting them to a different era. The library, now a cozy haven for book lovers, was filled with shelves upon shelves of novels, biographies, and classics.
As they browsed through the shelves, Catalina's eyes landed on a section dedicated to romance novels. She squealed with excitement, pulling out a newly released novel with a beautiful cover.
"Dad, look! The new novel by Authoress Gracie is out!" she exclaimed, holding up the book for her dad to see.
Tony raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smile on his face.
"Ah, Authoress Gracie huh? I've heard great things about her writing. What's this one about?"
Catalina's eyes sparkled as she began to summarize the plot. "It's about a young woman who falls in love with a wealthy businessman, but their social differences threaten to tear them apart. It's a classic tale of love conquering all, but with a modern twist." She squealed.
Tony chuckled, shaking his head.
"You and your romance novels, kiddo. You're going to turn into a hopeless romantic one of these days."
Catalina blushed, but her dad's teasing only made her more enthusiastic.
"I know, I know, but I just love getting lost in a good love story. And Authoress Gracie writing is so beautiful, it's like she's painting a picture with words."
As they continued to browse through the shelves, Catalina and her dad stumbled upon a cozy reading nook, complete with plush armchairs and a floor lamp. They settled in, Catalina opening her new novel and beginning to read, while Tony sat back and watched her, a warm smile on his face.
After a while, Tony spoke up, his voice low and gentle.
"You know, kiddo, I'm glad you're enjoying these romance novels. They're a great way to escape reality and explore the complexities of human relationships. And you won't be bullied by the neighbors anymore"
Catalina looked up from her book, her eyes shining with excitement.
"I know, right? And I love how they make me feel, like I'm a part of the story, like I'm experiencing the emotions and struggles of the characters firsthand." She pouted cutely.
Tony nodded, his eyes twinkling with understanding.
"That's the magic of reading, kiddo. It's a way to connect with others, to understand their perspectives and experiences, and to learn more about ourselves in the process."
As they sat there, surrounded by the musty smell of old books and the warm glow of the floor lamp, Catalina felt grateful for this special moment with her dad, a moment that allowed her to share her passion for reading and connect with him on a deeper level.

GREENVILLE NC UNIVERSITY
( Alpha Mansion) ~ 8pm.
The alphas gathered around the dinner table, the delicious aroma of roasted meat and steaming vegetables filling the air. Everyone was chatting and laughing, except for Foxin, who was absent.
"I'm starting to think he's not going to show up," Ruslan said , a hint of annoyance in his voice.
Just then, the door to the dining room opened, and he walked out, his piercing blue eyes scanning the room. He was the last to arrive, and the others couldn't help but notice his angry face.
"Finally decided to join us, huh?" Ruslan asked, a smirk on his face.
Foxin ignored him and took his seat at the table, his eyes fixed on the food in front of him.
As they began to eat, Ruslan couldn't resist the opportunity to tease Foxin. He reached out and knocked over Foxin's glass of water, spilling it all over his plate.
Foxin's eyes flashed with anger, and his blue flame eyes ignited, scattering the entire dining table. Plates, glasses, and utensils went flying in all directions, and the others jumped back in surprise.
Ruslan's face turned red with anger.
"What the hell, Foxin? Just because you have extra powers doesn't mean you should harm others, bastard!" he shouted.
The room fell silent, and the others stared at Foxin in shock. His blue flame eyes still burned brightly, and his chest heaved with anger.
"You shouldn't have tasted my patience. You asked for it" He smirked.
Foxin has anger issues alot.
Ruslan's face twisted in a scowl.
"You're going to pay for that, Foxin. Mark my words." He said and foxin smirked.
The tension in the room was palpable, and the others exchanged nervous glances. They knew that Foxin's powers were not to be trifled with, and Ruslan's actions had just ignited a fire that would be difficult to extinguish.
As the others began to clean up the mess, Foxin's blue flame eyes still burned brightly, a warning to Ruslan and the others to tread carefully around him. The dinner that was supposed to be a peaceful gathering had turned into a powder keg, and it was clear that the alpha pack was in for a long and tumultuous night.
