Grace's blood splattered all over the wall and some landed on my lips, making it appeared like I've been sucking someone's blood. I realised that more blood landed on my cloth too and anyone would have mistaken me to be the murderer.
I thought the huge beast was done with Grace, but I was wrong. He slashed the halves into four and he started dissecting Grace's little body parts as if he was separating a goat's meat.
I just stood there watching him, wondering if he'll do the same thing to me. I wanted to run, but it seems like I was being transfixed to the spot by the unholy and horrific event that was unfolding right in front of me.
I wanted to cry. I wanted to scream. I wanted to mourn Grace's death, but I couldn't because I knew that mine is coming soon too and my own death might even be more brutal.
If I eventually don't get killed by this huge man, I will definitely be killed by my neighbours who are spiritually pursuing me.
What the man did next made me muster the courage to run. After he was done cutting Grace into pieces, he started packing her into a sack he strapped to his bag.
He was smirking and giggling while doing this and he seems to find joy in what he was doing.
I wanted to slaughter him on the spot, if only I was powerful enough to handle him. He will obviously break me into two if I try to kill him.
I was the nearest person to the exit door, so I didn't misuse my opportunity. Before he could stand up to face me, I fled through the exit door of the living room.
Surprisingly, he didn't follow me. He didn't even attempt to throw anything at me. "Was Grace his only target. Was he not going to kill us both. Is he deciding to leave me or what",I started asking myself numerous questions.
Even though I was happy that he was not following me, my mind was still perturbed about the reason why he wasn't following me.
I exited the building successfully and I started running towards the gate. With full speed, I continued to run towards the gate.
I had already planned on running to any safe place that I dim fit.
I ran with full speed towards the gate and I tried to push the gate open with all my strength.
Expecting the gate to open, I rammed so hard into it and I got disappointed. I was expecting the gate to open wide for me to pass through. It was when I looked down that I realised that the gate has been locked with about 8 padlocks in different places. "No wonder that m.ad beast refused to run after me", I whispered to myself.
I immediately got confused on what to do and I thought of getting something to break the locks. But come on, me trying to break 8 padlocks wouldn't make sense and he might even meet me on the spot.
I checked the small gate and it was locked with two padlocks. Then I recollected how I scaled through a much more higher fence back in our compound when Anne was chasing me. "Maybe history can still repeat itself", I thought to myself while preparing myself to climb over the fence.
I was still rolling my sleeves when I noticed a usual figure coming towards me. I wasn't surprised at first because I knew that he'll come for me. "I'll make you run like m.ad", I said to myself.
I was still thinking all these with my head bent and I was yet to see the actual figure that was coming towards me. I concluded the the figure should be him because it had the same size.
It was when I raised my head up that I got the shock of my life.
