🔮 Amara 🔮
Her Destiny
I got dressed for work and went out of my room. I met Tricia seated in the small dining room chewing on her breakfast. She sights me and grin widely.
"Hey princess! Good morning." She winks.
I smiled and sit next to her. "Morning Tricia."
I glanced at the mouth watering pancakes in front of me, gosh I have so much missed her cooking. I licked my lips hungrily and digged in.
"Slow down would ya." She laughs.
"Sorry but it tastes so good." I reply with a mouthful of delicious pancakes. She giggles and nudge my shoulder playfully.
We ate silently for some minutes, Tricia clears her throat making me glimpse at her.
"What's wrong?."
She sighs as she drops her fork on the table. She looks dull all of a sudden, I felt worried.
"What is it?? Are you okay?."
"No." She replied.
"Huh?."
"Am not okay!."
"What happened?." I asked impatiently.
She adjusts her chair backwards and voice out. "About your child. Her name should be Fiona...." She pouts.
Just kill me!!. I glared at her as she burst into laughter.
"Seriously!! Not funny!!."
"Uhm yeah girl. I'll soon be an aunt, don't you think that's gonna be a big responsibility for me?..Anyways, Fiona is good right?." She says folding her arms. She really seem serious with this stuff, what's really wrong with Tricia?.
"Geez! You almost startled me! I thought something bad happened. You're weird, you know that?."
She chuckle and roll her eyes. "Just spare me...Common am fucking serious."
This is the first time she used the 'F' word for me, I shaked my head sideways and breathe out deeply. Tricia is a big headache.
"So?."
"What?." I asked already fed up with her torture.
"Tell me....is Fiona okay?...or...what if its a boy??. Ah geez. Collins will be happy, I'll name him Zack or Austin. Damn am Awesome." She squeals.
"You need a therapist, spell it with me. T, H, E, R, A, P, I, S, T." I joked as she scoffs.
She stares at me with a serious look and smirks. "I won't leave you until you decide if she'll be called Fiona. And for the record, I want a girl. So you and Collins should better work on that....ok!." She commands.
"I...."
My bracelet sparkled interrupting me. Tricia glances at my wrist and faced me.
"Why is it sparkling?." She asked.
"I don't know."
I stood up from the wooden dinning chair with a puzzled look. Its twinkling, I hope Collins is okay.
"Hey....what's.....with...the....wall?." Tricia half yell. I sense fear in her voice.
I traced her eyes to the wall and noticed a glowing light appears revealing someone. I peered into it closely, it's Mother.
"Aaaaaaah! Ghost!." Tricia screams as she hid herself at my back. Mother moved near me, her royal dress glows as she walks.
"Tricia, its okay. She's my mom." I said trying to get Tricia off my back, she's behaving like a child.
"Really?." She shrieked. I nod as she left my back, she faked a cough and stood firm.
"I wasn't scared..., I was uhm curious." She boasts.
I rolled my eyes and faced mother. "Mother, you're here?."
"Yes my child. I came to check on you." She says with a genuine smile.
"Am fine mother."
"How is he?. The human."
"He is good. He'll......" Tricia cut me off with her loud fake cough 🤦.
"What?." I.ask.
"Uhm ma'am, you look beautiful." She tells referring to mother who smiled in return. She threw a brief glare at me and faced mother. "About Collins my queen, Amara still doesn't wanna agree with me concerning her child's name." She huffs.
Mother eyes widens, she stares at my tummy then at my face.
Wait what!?.
"Amara, are you pregnant?."
"What???." I retorts.
"She's talking about a child's name. So have you two done it?." Mother beamed a smile.
"Not you too mother!!. And no, we haven't. Tricia is crazy, don't listen to her." I said as Tricia swats my arm.
"Ouch!."
"Alright then.. I'll be taking my leave, be careful and make sure you always protect him. Mathia still exist."
"I will mother. Bye."
I waved at her as she disappears. I faced Tricia. She shrugs. "What?."
"You have a problem!."
"I know right?. Anyways see ya later." She says. She carried her clutch and went out through the living room door.
How did Tricia end up this way?? She needs help!.
I checked the time on my phone, 7:15am. Am still early, I don't want to be late. Mother's words ringed in my head, *I should always protect Collins*.
I wonder what Mathia is up to....ever since that awful incident, I haven't seen any sign of her evil deeds....strange.
