Anovel of My motherś ex chapter 25 by authoress
Rylee sat in her dorm room, her hands trembling as she dialed Lucas’s number. She had been holding back tears since the night at Cole’s house, but now the dam broke, and the words spilled out as soon as Lucas answered.
“Lucas, he—he hurt me,” she stammered, her voice choked with emotion.
“What do you mean?” Lucas’s voice turned sharp, protective.
She hesitated before explaining, and by the time she finished, Lucas was silent.
“I’m coming,” he said firmly. “Stay where you are.”
Hours later, Lucas and Matthew arrived at her college, their faces dark with rage. They demanded to know where Cole was, and despite Rylee’s protests, they stormed off to find him.
Cole was lounging outside with a group of friends when the brothers approached. The moment he saw them, his smug smile faltered.
“What’s this about?” Cole asked, feigning innocence.
Lucas grabbed him by the collar, pulling him to his feet. “You know exactly what this is about,” he growled.
Before Cole could reply, Matthew’s fist collided with his jaw, sending him sprawling to the ground. The brothers unleashed their fury, pummeling him relentlessly.
By the time they were done, Cole was barely conscious, his face battered and bloody with almost all his bones broken.
“Touch her again, I’ll finish the job” Matthew spat, standing over him.
It wasn’t long before Rylee was summoned to the vice chancellor’s office. Her heart sank as she entered, finding him sitting behind his massive desk, his expression cold and furious.
“You think you can get away with this?” he demanded, slamming a hand on the desk.
Rylee clenched her fists. “He deserved it for what he did to me.”
The vice chancellor’s eyes narrowed. “Do you have any proof? Because as far as I’m concerned, my son is the victim here. And your brothers—your entire family—will pay for this if you don’t comply.”
Her stomach churned. “What do you want from me?”
“First,” he said, his tone icy, “you will apologize to Cole. Publicly.”
Rylee’s blood boiled. “I won’t—”
“Yes, you will,” he interrupted. “And that’s not all. To ensure there are no more incidents, you will date my son. Consider it a condition of your continued enrollment here.”
Her breath caught in her throat. “You can’t force me to—”
“I can, and I will,” he said smugly. “Your scholarship, your future—it all depends on how cooperative you are. Do I make myself clear?”
Rylee stared at him, her body trembling with rage and helplessness.
Rylee entered Cole’s hospital room with her head held high, though every fiber of her being screamed against what she was about to do.
Cole looked up from his bed, his face bruised and bandaged. When he saw her, a twisted smile spread across his swollen lips.
“Here to grovel?” he sneered.
“I’m here to apologize,” she said through gritted teeth. “I’m sorry for what happened.”
He laughed, the sound cruel and mocking. “Not bad, but I think you can do better. How about a kiss to show you mean it?”
“What happened to my friend Cole! What changed you?” Rylee asked Cole.
Her stomach churned. She turned on her heel and left without another word, refusing to give him the satisfaction.
⏰Flashback – ⏰January 10, 1997⏰
Julian sat on the edge of his dorm bed, staring at the crumpled note in his hand. The words were scrawled in sloppy handwriting, but their meaning was crystal clear: Victoria left with Michael last night.
His chest tightened as he recalled the whispers he’d heard earlier that day—whispers of Victoria’s drunken escapades at the party. At first, he dismissed them, but the note confirmed his worst fears.
When Victoria walked into the room later that evening, Julian didn’t waste any time.
“Who’s Michael?” he asked, his voice low and tense.
She froze, her eyes widening for a split second before narrowing. “Why does it matter?”
His heart sank. “Did you sleep with him?”
Victoria crossed her arms, her expression defiant. “So what if I did?”
Julian felt the world tilt beneath him. “You cheated on me?”
“It was just one night,” she said dismissively. “It didn’t mean anything.”
“To me, it meant everything,” he said, his voice breaking.
She rolled her eyes. “Maybe you should stop being so uptight. Not everyone is as perfect as you, Julian.”
“Tori!” He called
As she walked out, Julian sat in silence, the weight of her betrayal crushing him.
⏰Present Day⏰
Rylee sat on her bed, her thoughts racing. The vice chancellor’s threats, Cole’s smug face, her brothers’ protective fury—it was all too much. But one thing was clear: she wouldn’t let them control her.
She pulled out her phone and texted Lucas. I need your help. This isn’t over.
Then she lay back on her bed as she brought out Julian’s picture on her phone and slid her fingers inside her Panties.
