A novel of Dark Ties chapter 7
"I...I want to touch your lips" She said out of the blue without blinking a blink and the class gasped.
Ravenna's soul already left her body.
Foxin titled his head forward and smirked. She's still lost in her head, staring at him.
"You wanna touch my lips? So much courage you have kiddo" He said.
"Catalina, Catalina!!!" Ravenna called her but she's still blinking at Foxin.
"Sir! She's um not thinking straight right now okay" Ravenna looked at Foxin and then Catalina.
"Lina!!!! " She screamed into Catalina's ear and Catalina blinked.
She likes blinking alot !.
She immediately covered her mouth when realization hit her.
What did she just say? Infront of the whole class for that matter!!!.
She looked around the class, embarrassment evident in her eyes.
She immediately took in her lower lips, biting it so hard that it bled.
"Was just asking the class to introduce themselves when you said you wanted to...."
"Catalina Elowen...my name" She cut him off.
He smirked and walked backwards not taking his gaze from her and she felt goosebumps on her skin immediately.
"Like it has been announced, I'll be taking sociology class from now own" He said seductively and you could see some girls dripping wêt.
Catalina kept praying for the class to end so she'll just go out.
"Classes will start fully tommorow and I expect you guys to prepare before then" He looked at Eric { his right hand guy} and he tapped something on the laptop, making a topic pop up on the project.
"Sexism and gender inequality" He said.
And Catalina jotted down. She's trying hard not to look at him but she can't help it and if she looks his way, he's staring at her.
"Sir...."
"Death!" A student tried talking when he cut her short.
"De..ath! What... time is tommorow's class?" She asked and he smirked.
"It would be posted " He said and walked out of the hall.
Eric began packing the laptop and books from the table and in the process he looked eyes with Ravenna, which she looked away immediately.
★★★ FOURTH FLOOR ★★★
Indigo and her minions were lounging in their room, surrounded by takeout containers and snacks from their favorite restaurant. They had spent the evening ordering food and gossiping about the latest campus news. As they ate and chatted, Indigo's eyes scanned her phone, scrolling through the university's online portal.
Suddenly, her eyes widened in excitement, and she let out a squeal.
"Oh my god, you guys!" she exclaimed, holding up her phone for her friends to see.
Her minions gathered around her, curious about what had caught her attention.
"What is it, Indigo?" Daisy asked, peering at the phone. Indigo's face was alight with excitement.
"Foxin is the new sociology professor!" she announced, her voice trembling with anticipation.
Her friends' eyes widened in surprise, and they began to chatter and speculate about the news. Indigo, however, was already making plans.
"I'm switching courses this semester," she declared, her mind made up.
Her friends stared at her in surprise.
"What? Why?" Daisy asked looking at her with her hands placed on her waist.
Indigo's grin was mischievous.
"Because I need to be in Foxin's class, that's why," she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
" I don't want to miss the opportunity of a lifetime" She said hugging her phone dreamily.
Daisy and Ruby laughed and Indigo frowned at them and they stopped laughing immediately.
"So now tell me why you're laughing huh?" She said angrily and they both shook their heads negatively.
They know how she is when she's angry and they really don't wanna get on her bad sides.
She was already imagining herself in Foxin's class, sitting in the front row, and soaking up every word he said. She couldn't wait to meet him and experience his style.
She's already bitting and licking her lips.
She went to her gallery and brought out a picture of foxin in her phone and she kissed dreamily.
"I need to see someone"
★ GREENVILLE GARDEN ★
Catalina sat alone in the garden, waiting for Ravenna to return with her cardigan. Jaxon was still in class, studying for a project, and Ravenna had gone to get her sweater because the evening air had grown chilly.
Catalina had grabbed her own cardigan earlier, and now she was wrapped up warm, watching the moon shine brightly overhead.
As she sat there, lost in thought, she noticed a figure walking towards the alpha floor. It was Zoya, and Catalina's heart skipped a beat as she watched her approach. Zoya was known for her sharp tongue and her ability to intimidate, and Catalina felt a surge of nervousness as she walked by.
On impulse, Catalina stood up being controlled by the voice in her head, rushed towards Zoya, calling out to her.
"Zoya, I mean hi," she said, trying to sound casual despite the nervousness that was making her voice tremble.
She just admired her and doesn't know why.
Zoya stopped in her tracks and turned to face Catalina, a glare shooting from her eyes like a dagger.
"What?" she asked, her voice cold and unfriendly.
Catalina tried to speak, but her words caught in her throat. She felt like she was frozen, unable to move or talk. Zoya raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by Catalina's inability to speak.
"I heard how you wanted to touch my brother's lips in class," Zoya said, a sneer twisting her face.
"How pathetic." She laughed and Catalina looked down, bitting her wounded lips from earlier again.
Catalina's face burned with embarrassment and shame. She tried to defend herself, but her voice was still stuck in her throat. Zoya laughed, a cold, mirthless sound, and rolled her eyes.
"I..it.." She tried talking but.
"Stay away from him," Zoya warned, her voice dripping with venom.
"Because I hate you, and you know what? Girls who go closer to him, or try to form a relationship or something with him... they die." Zoya said and Catalina looked up, looking shocked.
With that, Zoya turned and walked away, leaving Catalina standing alone in the garden, feeling shocked and speechless. The moon was still shining brightly overhead, but Catalina felt like she was standing in darkness, unable to see or breathe.
"Stupid voice! You're always leading me to trouble. Just do me a favor and shut up" She turned to return to where she was sitting when she saw Ravenna standing there with a carton bag.
"Who are you talking to?" Ravenna asked looking behind her and she saw no one.
"Um...I... it's nothing just me" she laughed akwardly looking behind herself.
"You sure?" Ravenna pulled her and they sat on the bench there.
She can't tell them she hears voices in her head because what happened in Solaris City and they might stop being friends with her and think she's a witch.
She doesn't want that...
Ravenna opened the carton bag and brought out chicken wings from it and she gasped.
"What,you don't like it?"
"What are you saying? I love it, it's my favorite" She squealed, munching immediately.
"We're destined to be besties" Ravenna smiled and she giggled.
"Jaxon is missing out younno" Ravenna laughed.
They continued eating until Zoya's words struck her.
' YOU KNOW WHAT, GIRLS WHO GOES CLOSE TO HIM OR TRY TO FORM A RELATIONSHIP OR SOMETHING....DIES '
"Are you okay?" Ravenna asked and she nodded.
"You know a little about the Alpha siblings right? Why not tell me about them" She said curiously.
★★★ GREENVILLE ~ DOWNTOWN★★★
Tony trudged wearily through the streets, his delivery bag slung over his shoulder. It was 9pm, and he was making his last delivery of the night. He had found this errand job a few weeks ago, and it was doing fine. The pay was decent, and it allowed him to work flexible hours, which was perfect for him.
As he walked, he thought about Catalina. He was doing this job for her, so he could provide for her needs and buy her the things she wanted. He smiled to himself, thinking about her bright smile and her infectious laughter.
He misses her!
As he approached the last delivery address, he noticed an old lady walking towards him. She was dressed in a long, flowing coat, and her grey hair was tied back in a neat bun. She stopped in front of him, and Tony tipped his hat in respect.
"Hey man! I know you want the best for your daughter, But is it right for her to stay in that college?" She said, her voice low and mysterious and Tony was taken aback.
"What do you mean?" he asked, confusion etched on his face.
The old lady's eyes seemed to bore into his soul.
"Think about it well, Mr.," she said, her voice dripping with an otherworldly wisdom.
Before Tony could blink, the old lady was gone. He looked around, but she was nowhere to be seen. He rubbed his eyes, wondering if he had imagined the whole encounter.
"Kiddo," Tony muttered to himself, shaking his head. He couldn't shake off the feeling that the old lady had been trying to tell him something important.
He thought about Catalina and the college she was attending. Was everything okay? Was she safe?
★★★★ ALPHA FLOOR ★★★★★
The lounge in the alpha mansion was a sprawling space filled with all manner of games and entertainment. Landon and Ruslan were lounging on a couch, surrounded by tables and consoles, with games like chess, soccer, volleyball, and dart scattered about. There was also a pool table, a ping-pong table, and a collection of board games like Monopoly, Scrabble, and Risk. The room was a haven for the alpha brothers, a place where they could unwind and kill time.
As they sat there, Foxin walked by, a smirk playing on his lips.
Ruslan, never wants to miss an opportunity to provoke Foxin, so he stopped him in his tracks.
"You're now a professor and we're still students, You're rejoicing in that sick brain of yours now, aren't you?" Ruslan sneered.
Foxin's smirk grew wider, and he chuckled, a low, menacing sound.
"Are you jealous?" he asked, his eyes glinting with amusement.
"Maybe I should ask them to make me your professor too." Foxin further said and Ruslan's face darkened with anger, and he rushed at Foxin, his fist clenched. But before he could land a blow, Foxin's flame eyes shone brightly, and Ruslan's arm cracked, the sound echoing through the room like a gunshot.
Ruslan fell to the ground with a loud thud, his body crashing against the floor.
Landon's eyes widened in horror as he rushed to Ruslan's aid.
"Ruslan, oh my god, are you okay?" he exclaimed, helping him to his feet.
Foxin, meanwhile, was still smirking, his eyes gleaming with a malevolent light.
"Rest," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm, before turning to leave.
But Ruslan's anger had only just begun to boil over.
"I don't even think you're our sibling," he spat, his voice venomous.
"I don't know if our blood runs in your veins, because I hate you. You're not even worthy to be called an alpha"
Foxin's smirk faltered, and his eyes flashed with anger.
"And do you think I care?," he asked, his voice low and deadly.
"I don't care what you think of me, Ruslan. You can hate me all you want, but it won't change the fact that I'm the strongest one here." He said mockingly.
Ruslan's face twisted with rage, and he took a step forward, but Landon held him back.
"Ruslan, stop," he said, trying to calm his brother down.
But Ruslan was beyond reason, his anger and hatred for Foxin burning brighter than ever.
"I'll kill you one day, I swear," he yelled, his voice echoing off the walls.
Foxin's eyes gleamed with amusement, and he turned to walk away, disappearing into the shadows of his void.
"I'm shaking in my boots," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm, before he was gone.
"That bastard, he doesn't deserve to be happy cus he's a monster"
"You're jealous Ruslan, just stop all this jealousy and reconsider with him. " Landon said and he laughed like a manic.
"Stupidity" Ruslan said angrily and stormed out of the room.
