A novel of Dark Ties chapter 3

Catalina sat in the backseat of the car, her eyes fixed on the passing scenery as her dad, Tony, and Sienna drove her to Greenville NC university. She had been in Greenville city for a week already, and she was excited to start her new life at the university.

She was more than excited when her dad told her the news.

As they pulled up to the campus, Catalina's eyes widened in awe. The buildings were beautiful, with beautiful towers  and grand architecture. She could feel the excitement and energy of the students as they bustled about, preparing for the new semester.

Tony and Sienna helped Catalina unload her bags, and then they walked with her to the university's administration building. After a brief meeting with the dean, they said their goodbyes, and Tony and Sienna left Catalina to start her new life.

As soon as they were gone, Catalina felt a mix of emotions. She was excited to be on her own, but she was also nervous and a little scared. She took a deep breath and reminded herself that she was strong and capable, and that she could handle whatever came her way.

She walked to the university's dashboard, a large screen that displayed information about the students and their accommodations. Catalina searched for her name, and after a few moments, she found it. Her eyes scanned the information, and she felt a surge of excitement as she saw that she would be staying in the alpha tower.

ALPHA TOWER? she was curious tho.

The alpha tower was the most prestigious dormitory on campus. She wondered who her roommates would be, and what the tower would be like.

As she walked to the alpha tower, Catalina felt a sense of pride and belonging. She was a part of this university now, and she was ready to make the most out of it. She took a deep breath, strength her shoulders, and pushed open the door to the tower.

The lobby was beautiful, with a grand chandelier and a sweeping staircase. Catalina's eyes widened as she took in the sight, and she felt a sense of wonder and excitement. She was really here, and she was ready to start her new life.

She walked to the elevator, and pressed the button for her floor. As the doors opened, she stepped out into the hallway, and looked around for her room. She found it after a few moments, and she inserted her key card into the lock.

The door swung open, and Catalina stepped inside. The room was beautiful, with a large window that looked out over the campus. She felt a sense of peace and contentment wash over her, and she knew that she was exactly where she was meant to be.

The alpha tower was the largest and most prestigious dormitory in the university, standing tall and proud on the campus. It was a grand structure, with a sleek and modern design that seemed to shimmer and glow in the sunlight. The tower was a hub of activity, with students from all over the university coming and going at all hours of the day and night.

As Catalina stepped inside, she was immediately struck by the sheer scale of the tower. The lobby was a spacious, high-ceilinged room with a grand chandelier hanging from the center of the ceiling. The walls were lined with comfortable couches and chairs, and there were several large windows that looked out over the campus.

The tower was divided into several different sections, each with its own unique character and charm. The first few floors were dedicated to the university's most prestigious students, including the student council and the honor society. These floors were decorated with elegant furnishings and rich, dark wood paneling, and they seemed to exude an air of sophistication and refinement.

As Catalina made her way to her own room, she noticed that the tower had a number of different types of rooms. There were single rooms, double rooms, and even suites with multiple bedrooms and a shared living area. Some of the rooms had private balconies, while others had large windows that looked out over the campus.

The tower also had a number of communal areas, including a large lounge on the top floor with a stunning view of the city. There was also a state-of-the-art gym, a library, and a number of study rooms and meeting spaces.

Despite its grand size and luxurious amenities, the alpha tower had a surprisingly cozy and intimate feel.

As Catalina settled into her own room, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and wonder. She was proud to be a part of the alpha tower community, and she was eager to explore all that the tower had to offer. She spent the rest of the day unpacking and getting settled, and as the sun began to set, she felt a sense of contentment and belonging wash over her. She was home, and she was ready to start her new life.

"How many people even live here?" She wondered coming out of her own room and walking through hall ways and other rooms but they were rooms that was out of reach.

"Hmmm"

' Only four siblings leave here' she heard a voice and she turned her back to check.

"Who said that?" She asked when she didn't see anybody and she tightened the grip to her phone.

Her phone chimed with an incoming message and it's from the school platform.

* ALL STUDENTS,BOTH OLD AND NEW SHOULD MEET IN THE HALL ASAP *

She read it and turned back to find the way she used in coming in.

♠♠♠♪♪♪♪ HALL ♠♣♠♠♠♪♪♪

Students trooped into the Hall in groups as they sat down.

Catalina on the other hand finally spotted the Hall after using the Google map in her phone.

She made her way to the hall, which was already filled with students chatting and laughing. She scanned the room for an empty seat and spotted one near a boy and a girl who were engaged in a conversation. She walked over and introduced herself, taking a seat next to them.

The boy, who introduced himself as Jaxon, and the girl, who introduced herself as Ravenna, welcomed her with a smile. They started chatting about the new semester, discussing their classes and professors.

Catalina listened quietly, observing them with a smile. She was amused by their banter and the way they interacted with each other. Jaxon was outgoing and confident, while Ravenna was more reserved and sarcastic.

As they chatted, they started to argue about the best way to approach the semester. Jaxon thought that they should dive right in and start studying hard, while Ravenna believed that they should take it easy and enjoy the first few weeks of school.

Their argument was lighthearted and playful, and Catalina found herself laughing at their jokes and teasing. She was surprised by how easy it was to talk to them, and how much she enjoyed their company.

"I'm telling you, Jaxon, we should take it easy and enjoy the semester," Ravenna said, rolling her eyes.

"We don't want to burn out before it even starts, with all this boring and annoying professors."

"No way, Ravenna," Jaxon replied, grinning.

"We need to stay on top of our game if we want to succeed. Besides, I've already started studying and I'm ahead of the curve." Jaxon winked and Ravenna scoffed.

Ravenna raised an eyebrow.

"Oh yeah? Well, I've already finished all my reading assignments for the semester, so I think I'm doing just fine." She hissed.

Catalina laughed at their banter, feeling a sense of belonging and connection with them. She was glad that she had met them, and she was looking forward to getting to know them better.

As the assembly came to a close, the dean of students took the stage to announce the course offerings for the new semester. Catalina listened intently, her eyes scanning the list of courses projected on the screen behind the dean.

"Welcome, students, to the new semester!" the dean began.

"We have a wide range of courses available to you, from introductory classes to advanced seminars. Our course offerings include:

- Introduction to Psychology (PSY 101)

Jaxon, who was sitting next to her, leaned over and whispered,

"Hey, have you seen the course offerings? I'm thinking of taking Calculus I and Computer Science."

Ravenna, who was sitting on the other side of Catalina, chimed in,

"I'm taking Sociology.. I've heard great things about the professors."

"I think I'll go with Ravenna" Catalina said as they walked out of the Hall happily.

"Yoo" Ravenna smiled happily and wrapped her arm around Catalina.

NEXT DAY ~ GREENVILLE NC UNIVERSITY.

Catalina walked into the school hallway, scanning the crowd for familiar faces. She spotted Ravenna and Jaxon standing by their lockers, chatting and laughing together. She made her way over to them, a smile on her face.

"Hey guys!" she said, greeting them with a friendly wave.

Ravenna and Jaxon turned to her, grinning. "Hey Catalina!" Ravenna exclaimed, giving her a warm hug. "How's it going?"

Jaxon nodded in greeting, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

"What's up, Catalina? Ready for campus life?" He asked and Catalina chuckled, feeling a sense of ease with her new friends.

"Yeah, I guess so. I'm still trying to get used to the whole college thing." She giggled.

Ravenna's eyes sparkled with interest. "Woah girl, so you are really roomies with the alpha siblings," she said, her voice low.

Catalina's curiosity was in her high form as she looked at Ravenna keenly.

"Yeah! Why?" she asked, her eyes locked on Ravenna's.

Ravenna leaned in, a mischievous glint in her eye.

"I've heard rumors about them. They're  like, super powerful and influential on campus." Ravenna explained.

Catalina's eyes widened, her mind racing with questions. She had been wondering about her roommates all night, but she hadn't been able to find any information about them. She didn't even get to see them last night because the tower was dead silent. More like a grave yard.

"What do you mean?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Jaxon chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement as he placed a hand on Catalina's shoulder.

"Let's just say that the alpha siblings are not your average college students. They're...unique, to say the least." He said.

Catalina's curiosity was killing her. She had been waiting to hear more about her roommates, and now it seemed like she was finally going to get some answers tho.

"Tell me more," she said, her eyes locked on Ravenna's.

Ravenna grinned, a sly smile spreading across her face.

"Well, I've heard that they're part of a secret society on campus. They're supposed to have, like, special powers and abilities that set them apart from everyone else." She rolled eyes.

"Venna!" Jaxon cautioned and she rolled eyes.

"It's true, they act strange most especially death" She glared at him.

Catalina's eyes went wide, her mind racing with questions.

"Special powers?" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper.

."Yeah, it's true. The alpha siblings are not like everyone else. They're...different." Ravenna further said, her eyes Serious.

"Don't mind her Lina, She's just a brain twister" He smiled glaring hard at Ravenna.

"But..."
