A novel of Dangerously yours chapter 23
"Asher!" Isobel screamed out.
It was actually a nightmare, she's just waking up from the dream.
Isobel's eyes fluttered open, her mind foggy and disoriented. She was met with the sterile smell of a hospital room, and the beeping of machines monitoring her vital signs.
She tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over her, forcing her back onto the pillow. As she lay there, she noticed the faces surrounding her bed.
Tanya, Iris, and Courtney were all seated in chairs, their eyes fixed on her with concern. But it was the fourth face that made her heart skip a beat – Caspian, standing at the foot of her bed, his eyes watching her with an intensity that made her skin prickle.
She looked around again, but she didn't see that cold, icy face that's always driving her nuts. She saw and even kissed him in her dream.
Thank God it's a dream!.
"Hey, Bel," Tanya said softly, reaching out to take her hand.
"Welcome back." She said with a big smile and Isobel smiled back.
Isobel's gaze drifted from one face to another, trying to piece together what had happened.
"What...what happened?" she stammered.
"You fell down the stairs at school," Iris explained gently. "Caspian here rushed you to the clinic, and they brought you here to the hospital." She added and Isobel's little memory flashed to the incident and the figure she saw.
Isobel's eyes locked onto Caspian's, a mix of emotions swirling inside her. Gratitude, confusion, and something else she couldn't quite identify.
"Thanks," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Caspian's expression softened, and he nodded slightly. "Anytime," he said, his voice low and husky.
The machines beeping around her seemed to fade into the background as Isobel's gaze held Caspian's, a sense of connection sparking between them.
"Get rest Isobel" Courtney said.
"I thought the doctor said she lost half of her memory due to the fall?" Iris asked confusedly.
"Maybe it's not the part that remembers us,who knows?" Tanya said and she looked at them speechlessly.
"Asher would be happy to see her tho" Iris chipped in and her eyes widened.
So he's really here?
"Did I kiss Asher before passing out or something like that?" She asked.
"What!!!" They all exclaimed surprisedly.

Valerie and Julia sat in the lavish living room of the Thompson mansion, sipping champagne and giggling like conspirators.
"I'm telling you, Julia, that Isobel girl is a disaster waiting to happen," Valerie said, her voice dripping with malice.
Julia nodded vigorously.
"I know, right? She thinks she's so much better than everyone else just because of her little sassy ability" Julia scoffed andValerie snorted.
"Please, that's just a sob story to get attention. And it's working, unfortunately."
The two friends clinked their glasses together in a toast.
"To getting Isobel out of Crest College, once and for all." They laughed devilishly.
"I have a few ideas on how to make that happen." Julia grinned mischievously.
Valerie's eyes sparkled with intrigue. "Do tell?."
And with that, the two friends began brainstorming ways to sabotage Isobel's time at Crest College.
Julia leaned in, a sly grin spreading across her face.
"I was thinking we could start a rumor about Isobel. Something that'll make her unpopular with the other students." Valerie's eyes lit up with excitement.
"I love it. What kind of rumor did you have in mind?" She asked, smiling widely.
Julia thought for a moment before responding.
"I don't know... something about her being dishonest or untrustworthy. That way, people will start to doubt her and distance themselves from her."
Valerie nodded enthusiastically.
"That's perfect. And I know just the way to get the rumor started." Julia raised an eyebrow.
"What did you have in mind?"Valerie smiled slyly.
"Let's just say I have someone in mind who's more than happy to spread a little gossip. Someone who's close enough to Isobel to make the rumor seem believable."
Julia's eyes sparkled with intrigue. "And who might that be?"
Valerie just smiled, her lips curling up in a mischievous grin.
"Let's just say it's someone who's been waiting for the perfect moment to strike." She said and they both laughed cunningly.

Damien wiped the sweat from his forehead as he carried the last box into the house. His mom had finally moved in with her new fiancé, and Damien felt disgusted about this.
As he set the box down in the living room, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He had never been close to his mom, and the thought of her marrying someone new was still taking some getting used to.
