NORA'S POV

As I slowly opened my eyes,I was greeted by Lily's bright smile. "Good morning Nora"She chirped, bouncing up and down on the bed.

I laughed and sat up, Rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. "Good morning baby,How did you sleep?"

Lily nodded vigorously. "I slept well!, Can we go to the bathroom now?"Can we shower together?"

I Smiled and swung my legs over to the side of the bed,I wonder what got her so happy and excited this morning but I loved seeing her this cheerful and full of happiness.

"Of course, Let's go"I helped her down the bed and we headed to the bathroom together.

Once we were both done, We headed downstairs to the kitchen. The delicious smell of breakfast Filled the air, making my stomach growl in hunger.

Mrs Knights was already seated at the table, Sipping a cup of tea probably. She grinned at us,her eyes crinkling at the corners.

"Good morning Mrs Knights,How are you doing?"I Smiled.

"Great sweetie!,How did you sleep?"

Lily ran to her Grandma, throwing her arms around her neck. "Granny, I slept well!!,Nora Slept well too!"

She chuckled and hugged her back. "That's great Lily, I'm glad you both slept well"

I made my way towards them,My curiosity piqued. "What's that you're drinking Mrs Knights?"I asked, eyeing the small cup she was holding.

Mrs Knights chuckled,a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Oh, Just a little thing to keep me young and healthy. A tea that's definitely not suitable for an old lady like myself"She winked.

I laughed. "I think I need to try some of that tea"I joked.

She grinned. "I think you're better off without it dear, Now would you be a darling and go call Alexander to come have Breakfast?. Only heavens knows what's taking him so long"She frowned.

My heart skipped a bit at the mention of Alexander's name. I suddenly felt nervous,My smile faltering for a moment.

"O-oh, Sure"I stuttered. "I'll be right back"

I smiled nervously and headed towards Alexander's room,My heart pounding hard against my chest.

I finally reached his room and took a deep breath before knocking on the door. "Mr knights?"

There was no response so I knocked again, biting on my lips nervously.

Still no response. I hesitated for a moment, wondering if I should go back downstairs but then I decided to go in;So I pushed open the door, Stepping inside slowly and if I thought my room was beautiful, they're nothing compared to his.

I could hear the shower running,that meant he was in the bathroom but then I heard the sound stop and suddenly the glass slide opened, and Alexander walked out with a towel wrapped around his waist and a look of surprise on his face.

I Gasped,my cheeks flushing bright red. I couldn't help but stare at his broad chest and his chiseled abs.

My gaze drifted to the tiny tattoo on his Abs,it was a tattoo of a beautiful sword....I felt a shiver run down my spine as I gazed at it.

The tattoo was familiar,I had a feeling that I had seen it before but where?

Alexander's eyes met mine and he smiled. "Good morning, beautiful"He said,his voice low and husky.

I swallowed hard, trying to find my voice. "G-good M-morning Mr Knights, I'm sorry for walking in but your mum asked me to call you for breakfast"I stammered, avoiding his intense eyes.

Alexander chuckled, walking towards me.

"I'll take my leave...."I started to say but before I could complete my words; Alexander grabbed my arm and pulled me into his chest.

I gasped again as my body collided with his wet body,My eyes widened in surprise. His scent enveloped me,a heavy mix of his body wash and masculinity that left me breathless.

"Mr Kni......"I couldn't complete my words when he caught me off again.

"Alexander"He corrected,his voice low and his eyes trapping mine. "I like it when you say my name"

I felt my cheeks flush as I mumbled."I'm sorry Alexander"

Alexander smirked and my heart skipped and my heart skipped a beat. I felt like I was melting under his gaze and my body was responding to his close proximity in ways I couldn't control.

I felt a shiver run down my spine as he tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear, His touch sending tingles, flying through my body and I couldn't help but wonder what it'd feel like to kiss him.

Gosh! What's wrong with me? Stop thinking about that!

"I'll be down for breakfast in a minute"Alexander said,his eyes not leaving mine.

I nodded,still feeling dazed. "Uhm okay, I'll see you downstairs"I managed to say,my voice still shaking slightly.

He chuckled. "You look lovely when you're flustered"

I felt my cheeks flush with embarrassment as I looked away, trying to compose myself. "I... I'll see you downstairs"I stuttered, before quickly exiting his room.

ALEXANDER P.O.V

As I walked into the Dining hall, Lily's face lit up with a bright smile. "Daddy!"She squealed, rushing towards me with open arms.

I scooped her up, twirling her around and she giggled in Delight. "How was your night princess?"I asked.

"It was great! I slept really well close to Nora"She grinned and I smiled, kissing her cheeks.

"Good morning Son"My mother said, smiling warmly as I leaned down to kiss her cheeks softly.

"Morning Mama"I Smiled, setting her down on her feet and she rushed back to Nora.

"How was your night?"My mother asked, eyeing me with curiosity.

"It was good"I responded curtly.

But my Mother's eyes narrowed slightly. "Did you and Tricia have another argument?"

I clenched my Jaw, feeling a surge of annoyance. "We did"I admitted curtly.

My mother sighed. "Alexander you need to control your temper when it comes to Tricia, She's gonna be your wife soon"

I felt my anger rise at the thought of her being my wife,I don't see myself spending the rest of my life with her, I don't wanna marry her but I have to.

For my Daughter.

My mother and the goddamn promise.

"I don't see why I should have to control my temper when she's the one who's always causing problems"I said,my voice low and even.

"Alexander, You have to learn to get along with Tricia. You'll be spending the rest of your life with her, Control your temper and learn to respect her. She's a woman,I didn't raise you this way!"

I clenched my Jaw, feeling a surge of furstration. Why did my mother always take Tricia's side even without knowing what she did? 

She shouldn't have insulted Nora! How dare she! I don't care if she was my fiance or not.... She deserved what she got in return.

"I don't wanna talk about this right now Mama, it's best we....."

"We will talk about this Alexander and we will talk about this now!"Her voice was Stern and firm. "What is wrong with you Alexander!? She exclaimed,Her voice raising.

"Be back early because we need to talk to the wedding planner"She stated more calmly.

That was exactly what I didn't want to hear!
