FEAR
ALEXANDER'S POV
I couldn't take it anymore!
The more I watched Nora and Dimitri smile and laugh with each other made me incredibly Jealous.
Yes I was Jealous....I won't deny that.
Dimitri was supposed to give her a tour of my company,So she could feel at ease but he was overstepping.
He was getting too close and I sure as hell do not like it. She wasn't his too charm,To smile at...or laugh with.
She was....MINE,No not mine. I didn't mean that but she was under my protection and I wouldn't let anyone get close to her... Not even My fucking secretary.
I clenched my fists,My mind racing with angry thoughts. I took a deep breath trying to calm myself down but it was so fucking impossible.
And when he wrapped his arms around her shoulders,I fucking lost it...My eyes burned red. How dare he touch her!
I picked my phone up and dialed his number,He answered at the third ring.
"Sir....."
"Bring Nora back to my office immediately"My tone was Commanding, Filled with Authority and Rage.
"Now!"I hanged up.
I stopped pacing and stood by the other window, staring at the city below. I needed to calm down,To get my emotions under control.
The door to my office burst opened and Nora walked in followed by Dimitri. "Leave,I need to speak with Nora alone"My expression was Stern.
Dimitri nodded and turned to leave but not without casting a glance at Nora. I didn't like it,I didn't like the way he looked at her.
As soon as the door closed,I heard her soft voice speak. "What's wrong? You look mad. Did I do something wrong?"
"Yes, I am angry"I admitted and she casted a concerned glance at me.
"Angry?"She took in her lips, stealing my attention for a moment. "About what?"She asked.
I took a step closer to her,My movements deliberate and slow. I wanted to make her nervous,To make her feel the same tension I was feeling.
"Why were you both smiling and laughing like that?"
Nora's eyes snapped back to mine, Her cheeks flushing with a delicate pink as I was already too close to her, Trapping her against the door.
"I-i w-was just being friendly, He's a really nice and sweet...."
"Nice and sweet"I snickered cutting her off. "What about me then? What do you think of me?"
Nora's eyes dropped and she looked away, Blushing deeper. "Am I boring?"I blurted out and her eyes met mine again.
"No, you're not"She responded almost immediately and I Smiled to myself.
"Am I attractive?"I asked,my voice low and husky.
I could hear her heart pounding hard against her Chest. "Yes, You are"
I smiled widely. "You're very beautiful too"I said,my voice low and even.
Nora's eyes flickered up to mine looking surprised, Her cheeks flushed red and she swallowed hard. "Thank you"She said softly, but she didn't look convinced.
"I mean it"I said to her and she swallowed again.
"I know, it's just that I don't really get complements from guys so yours surprised me"She admitted quietly and my Jaw clenched.
"They must be blind then cuz you're the most beautiful woman I've ever laid my eyes on"
She blushed.
"You shouldn't say things like that to me"
"And why not?"I ached my brows confusedly.
"B-because...."She paused and shook her head. "Never mind"
"Tell me..."I pressed her body more against the door and she gasped softly, staring at me with her innocent eyes.
She shook her head. "It's stupid"She muttered and I was about to respond to her when I heard my office telephone ring.
"One second"I said to her and she nodded slowly.
Frowning, I walked towards my desk and answered the call.
"Sir,Mr Jason is here"Dimitri's voice filled my ear and I sighed.
"Send him up"I dropped the telephone and walked back to Nora who was staring at me nervously.
"Jason is here"I informed her and her eyes went wide a little.
"You don't have to be nervous Nora, He'll probably ask you some questions and if you don't wanna answer anyone you're not comfortable with then it's fine okay"I said softly, trying to get her less nervous.
"You'll be here right?"She Asked quietly and I nod.
Relief washed over her and she smiled. "Okay, Thank you"
I Smiled gently.
God.... I'm hooked.

NORA'S POV
I stood nervously beside Alexander's desk,My eyes fixed on the door as it swung open. A tall, imposing figure walked in, He flashed me a brief smile at me before turning to Alexander.
"Mr Knights"He acknowledged and Alexander nodded,His Eyes narrowing slightly.
"Am guessing this is the lady right?"Jason locked eyes with mine for a second and I swallowed, getting more nervous.
Alexander nodded, Gesturing me to take a seat and I did fiddling with my fingers nervously.
"Nora, Can I ask you a few questions?"He asked,his tone firm.
I nodded, trying to calm my racing heart.
"You don't have to be nervous around me Nora, I'll ask you some questions and if you don't feel comfortable about answering any one of them then you're free to pass. Is that okay?"
I nodded, unsure of how to respond to that.
Jason pulled out a small notebook and flipped through the pages. "Can you tell me about what happened the night of the attack?"
I hesitated, feeling a wave of fear wash over me. Alexander's hand brushed against mine and I felt a surge of comfort.
I took a deep breath. "I got fired that evening and I headed straight home but when I opened the door. I saw him, Sitting on my couch, holding a gun and his eyes directly Staring at me.....H-he s-slammed me against the door and touched me,I w-was scared and angry so I bit him and immediately ran to my kitchen holding up a knife to defend myself...I tried to warn him not get any closer but he kept coming closer to me so I did what anyone would have done......"
"You stabbed him with the knife?"He guessed and I nodded.
"That was brave of you but there's something I need to tell you"He said,His voice low and serious. "I found something"
My heart skipped a beat as he paused,His Eyes locked on mine.
"What was it?"My voice trembled.
Jason's face was expressionless.
"A bloodstain on the wall of your apartment with your name written next to it"
My eyes widened in Shock and fear. My name written in blood? I felt my body shiver in fear. I couldn't shake off the feeling of terror,The man who had tried to harm me had written my name in blood. He was still out there, Coming for me.
Could it be my father?
I started to hyperventilate,My breath came out in short gasps. Alexander's grip on me tightened.
"Nora, Breath"He said to me softly and I nodded, trying to calm my racing heart.
"What does that mean Jason?"I heard Mr knights Asked.
"It means whoever that man was, He's not going to stop until he gets whats"Jason responded. "And what he wants is You"
I felt a cold shiver run down my spine. "Then fucking find him Jason"Mr Knights growled.
"Yes Sir but I still need to ask her some questions"He said and I felt Alexander's eyes on me.
"I don't think she's in the right state of mind to answer any questions at the moment"He said but I shook my head in protest.
"I-i can"I muttered and Jason nodded.
"Have you been receiving any threats or suspicious messages before the attack?"
My heart skipped a beat as I hesitated,My mind drifted back to the letter I received at the restaurant with no clue of who it was but I knew who it was,It was him,My father.
I didn't say anything in response, Jason Eyes narrowed slightly at me.
Alexander was also staring at me and my heart pounded hard against my chest,That was the part I didn't wanna reveal cuz I didn't want anyone to find out about my horrible past, Not even Alexander.
"Nora,Is there something you're not telling me?"
I didn't want to Lie to Alexander but I couldn't tell him the truth either... At least not yet.
Jason sighed. "If you want me to help you find this criminal then you shouldn't hide things you know, I Know this is terrifying for you but I need you to trust me"
I felt a Lump form in my throat as I looked away, avoiding their eyes. I knew he was right, I needed to trust him if I wanted to stay safe but it was hard to let go of the secret I'd kept hidden to myself for so long.
