NEXT DAY; RED KEEP
Morning came again and as usual kaira was the first to wake in the Royal house she jumped off her bed ready to start another adventure.
"Morning phoenix " she smiled.
"Morning kaira" Phoenix her wolf replied.
she danced around her for some time before finally strolling into the bathroom room.
stepping out she searched through her closet for anything to wear.
"Black looks beautiful " she smiled taking the gown out.
"I'm hungry we didn't eat anything yesterday!" Phoenix groaned .
kaira didn't say anything she wore her dress, left her hair tje only way she always left it rolling off her back and headed out of the room.
First she made her way to the Royal grounds were training took place.
."let's test our fighting abilities first " she smiled.
She picked a sword up and moved to the ground.
She began swinging it mid air changing positions time to time, flying everywhere.
"Are you ready Phoenix?" She asked, she threw the sword far with all her might shifting into her wolf immediately.
the wolf took off in killer speed bouncing into the air,she took control again catching the sword and landing on her feet.
"woah!" James muttered amazed by her .
"sir James you're here" kaira smiled running back to him..
"where did you learn that from?" he had to ask.
"been practising " she smiled.
"Why are you here so early?" She asked.
"A letter arrived for his majesty I need to deliver it" James said showing her the envelope.
"owww,what's in it i want to see" she tried snatching it .
"nope,its only for the king not the princess" james said.
"Whatever they're not awake yet, come back later!" she uttered walking away.
"They'll have to wake up for this" James muttered following her.
"where are you off to?" he asked .
"I'm hungry " kaira groaned,her stomach kept making weird noises.
"That's what you get when yo fight with your family !" He teased.
"You're getting on my nerves lately sir James ill forget you're my father's general and deal with you" kaira threatened.
"oh wow I'm so scared!" James laughed.
"James??" Her highness called stepping out of her room.
"your bigness greetings?" he bowed in respect.
kaira rolld her eyes "Morning mom" she muttered.
"Is his majesty awake your highness, there is a letter for him" James mentioned.
"no I came to see if someone didn't try run away again!" she directed her words to kaira.
kaira scoffed,she walked away heading to the dinning room.
"what is the letter about James?" queen malisa asked.
"Its from thageran your highness sent my King balem himself" James stated .
"what do you want,you hold on ill call the king now go seat breakfast will come soon!" she said.
"Thank you your majesty" he bowed once again walking away.
"What could they possibly want?" queen malisa thought to herself.
"The thagerans hmm" kaira grinned the moment James stepped in.
"You easedropped!" He frowned.
"no,I just have wonderful hearing" she smiled.
Sybil stepped in just then with 5 maids behind her.
one helped pull her chair out,another holding her dress as she sat, the other one placing her plate and spoon down.
Kaira scoffed annoyed by the show.
"leave!" sybil ordered they bowed and left.
"Good morning my princess" James greeted.
",Morning sir James,Morning kaira" sybil said.
"Morning sybil" kaira managed to answer.
The king stepped in along side the queen.
"Greetings your majesty" James stood in respect so did kaira and sybil .
"Good morning everyone ,how was your night?" King Argon said taking his seat.
The maids came in serving their meal.
"Thank you" kaira smiled at the lady serving her.
"James I hear there's a letter for me" King argon said.
James nodded he took out the letter and passed it to him.
"who's it from father?" sybil asked.
"The thagerans" he replied opening it up.
Queen malisa sighed trying to calm her nerves,she felt anxious over hearing that name.
King Argon hesitated before opening the letter.
In all that kaira paid no attention her focus as on the food in front of her which she was mulching on.
"Read it my king"Queen malisa said.
"okay,it says dear friend, its been a while since we wrote to each other,I know you are ruling the people of the red keep with a pure heart as always " he read from King balem.
"After months of wait the moon goddess finally reveled to us a mate for my grandson king rhegar, I write to inform you that your youngest daughter princess kaira is tje chosen mate for rhegar....." the spoon fell off kaira's hand instantly.
she exchanged looks with her father then to her mother.
"oh no" were her mothers words.
"We will be arriving by night to see her princess... see you then my good friend" king arong read the last part.
Kaira chuckled feigning ignorance to what she heard.
"Kaira is king rhegar mate how?!" sybil asked the first question.
James kept starring at her,he was expecting an outburst or anything.
"James write back to them "I kaira wil not be getting mated to any asshole ,we appreciate their offer but we reject it too, sign my name with a full stop " kaira uttered.
"Kaira" her father called.
"yes dad?" She smiled at him.
"we can't reject this!" He stated.
"no no dad you're not rejecting it I am kaira is,James you're not writing, someone bring a paper and ink!" she shouted now,the anger was coming little by little.
it was like tje word marriage or mating ignited the demon in her
"Kaira!" Queen malisa snapped.
"You are going to be mated to king rhegar and that's final" she added.
"says who me?!" kaira asked back.
"I didn't want to do this but I have to,guards!" king argon called,two guards came in immediately.
"James escort kaira to her room now,she won't be allowed to step out until the thagerans are here" he gave the order.
"Are you kidding me dad, you're going to lock me up AGAIN!!'kaira banged the table
"Your majesty" James tried to plea.
"I already gave you orders james" king Argon muttered,sighing James stood up .
"Kaira please!" He pleaded,she glared at her father then to her mother ,she stood up and stormed off James and tje guards taleing behind her.
"are you sure about this my King?" Queen malisa asked .
"it's for her own good" he sighed.
"balem can never be mistaken when he said the goddess chose her,they'll come and clarify everything !" He said.
~ 5 HOURS WENT BY~
Kaira paced back and forth of her room still fuming in anger she didn't seat for one minute.
"Stop snarling please!" Phoenix Said.
"Not the time Phoenix, I need to get out of this!" kaira muttered.
"You haven't seen him, you might like him!" Phoenix said.
she hissed loudly, she smiled not hearing any sound from her door,quietly and slowly she opened the door .
looking left and right she smiled again,no one was thre.
The moment she moved out she was pushed back in by a force,she landed on the floor immediately.
"wolf bane!" she groaned standing up.
"I'm sorry kaira" James said .
kaira held her hand in pain the mark of wolf bane didn't heal thag quickly.
"Why are you guys doing this to me,is marriage everything!" she snapped.
"Sir James they are here" a guard muttered to him.
"James please " kaira pleaded getting on her feet.
Her father came forth "break it James!" He He, James nodded using his legs to make a gap.
"Dad please"kaira rushed to him.
" I didn't come here to reason with you kaira,I only come to warn you I am fed up of your rebellious behavoir its high time you take up responsibility, you will be get mated to rhegar tonight and jts final if you don't I promise you I'll do something we all will regret" he threatened.
kaira stepped back "You've made up your mind then" she said,the most dangerous idea popped in her head.
"fine I'll get mated to the king" she said.
"Good ,come with me they are here now " king argon smiled ,he took her hand and held her out.
In the throne room,king balem was seated with rhegar by his side.
"Grandfather did we have to come now we could have waited for their response" rhegar muttered.
"No kid ,you was very in my letter" King balem answered.
rhegar sighed looking around the place his eyes met with sybil and she smiled at him,he smiled back looking away instantly.
"We appreciate your coming dearest king balem,the king will soon be here" queen malisa said.
just then the door opened revealing king argon,he stepped aside and kaira came forth.
"mate!" once again are growled setting his eyes on her.
rhegar didn't know when he stood up awed by her presence.
kaira eyes were down first,she looked up and tje first face she met were his.
He eyes sparked for a second meeting his "mate" Phoenix went gaga.
her father led her hand leading her in,he made her seat on her throne which she hadn't sat for decades.
"King balem,the one you asked for my daughter princess kaira of the red keep" he announced.
"She's the one!" rhegar muttered to his grandfather .
"I'm not the one who asked of her king argon ,my grandson king rhegar did,rhegar??" king balem said.
he stood from where he sat "You are the one the moon goddess chose to be my queen princess kaira,but I won't ever enforce any decision on you, do you accept this alliance and be my queen and luna?" thegar asked.
kaira starred at him in shock,no suitor had ever asked her for her opinion.
"Is he asking her,she'll say no!" sybil whispered to her mother.
"can I give my honest opinion?" kaira stood up.
"yes you can " rhegar said.,she smiled and moved closer to him now.
"Come closer " she told him,he too moved closer to her.
they all watched confused at her.
she held his head to her face "I....I..." she whispered into his ear.
"will never be your mate!" she shouted, she took out her knife from the side of her gown,holding him by the neck she placed tje knife there.
"What are you doing kaira?!" king argon gasped in shock.
"teaching you all a lesson,I warned you but no,sorry handsome king this is gonna hurt" she pressed the knife his throat.
" are you insane!!" rhegar shouted.
"I don't know what the goddess showed you that made you have the balls to come here but I'm not the kaira you're searching for" she uttered.
"Thi is fun!" king balem chuckled.
"Grandfather !" rhegar panicked,his blood was already dripping .
"this is laced with wolfbane if I stab you you'll definitely die!" kaira said.
"Kaira have you gone totally mad!" her mother panicked
rhegar chuckled "one thing you missed cute princess wolf bane doesn't affect true bloods" he held her hand pulling it away from his neck.
"ouch oww!" kaira whimpered as he turned her hand, he faced her now adding force to his grip ,the knife fell off immediately
They breathed out in relief .
