Audrey's POV
"Hey sweetheart, stop crying okay?"
"You don't get it Audrey, I can't do without my mom, even if she is so annoying, i still love her"
"You are not going to loose her Sweetheart"
"I'm not"
"Yes you are not, if only you will help me to save her"
"Help you how? I'll do anything"
"Well, i want you to follow me to the hospital where I work so that i can get the drugs that can cure your mum"
"Alright, let me get my keys"
We hurried and got into the car
Ryan was driving extremely fast
"Chill Ryan, you don't want us to get involved in an accident, do you?"
"Am sorry babe"
"It's alright"
He drove me to the hospital and i quickly rushed into the pharmacist center and collected the drugs
I got back into the car and Ryan drove us to his mum's house
He parked his car in the garage and we came out
We walked into his mum's bedroom and find her eating
What??
Why I she eating that?
What if the drug is inside the meal?
"Ryan, son" she called out
"Its so nice of you to see me after what i did to your gf"
"it's alright mum, no matter what you are still my mom and i hope you are going to get better"

"Mum?" I said
"Who's in charge of giving you your meals?"
"Ivy is, she is the only maid i have here"

She ran upstairs immediately
"Ivy, I want you to eat this food here"

"You heard me right, eat it"
"Babe, what are you doing?" Ryan asked

I watched as she ate a spoonful of it
Okay, maybe the drug is not in the food

"Where Is the water she drinks"

"Check the small refrigerator, that's where my own water I been stored"

"Go get the water Ivy" Ryan said
"No, i don't trust her, she might run away if we let her go downstairs"
"What are you saying Audrey?" Ryan's mum asked
"You guys should trust me, keep an eye on her Ryan"
I ran downstairs into the kitchen and opened the small refrigerator

I found the water
I grabbed a bottle of water and rushed back upstairs
I opened the water right in front of everyone and sniffed it
I knew it
I know that smell anywhere
"The drugs are in the water she's drinking"
"But that's impossible, those water were been giving to me by the doctors" Ryan's mum said
"I don't think so, I think Ivy here has something to do with it"
"(scoffs) me?"
"Yes you, if you know that you did not add anything into it drink it"
"I can't"
"Why can't you" Ryan asked
"Because she just clearly said there are bad drugs in it"
"Fine, if you won't admit it, I'll prove you guilty then. Mum Is there a CCTV camera in your kitchen?"
"Yes there is, you can check it there in that computer over there"
"Ryan shut the door"
He did as i said
Everyone was surprised at my action
I checked all the footage one after the other until I found it

The footage of Ivy switching the water Ryan's mum gave to her
This is enough evidence to prove that I'm right
"Ivy?" Ryan's mum called
I took new bottle water and added some drugs into it
Aconite, the name of the drug i added
It will heal her in a week
We took Ivy to the station where she was been interrogated
"Why would you want to kill my mum, Ivy?" Ryan asked
"I didn't mean to, i was sent by someone"
"Who?" the cops asked
"If i tell you guys, promise you will keep me and my brother safe"
"We promise" Ryan said
"It was Jessie"
"What?!" me and Ryan screamed together
"Yes, she asked me to do it"
"But why?" Why will a young girl like you help her in such a devious crime? Was it because of the money?" I asked
"Hell no!!" she screamed
"You see, i am Jessie's maid and she took my brother away from me"
"She said if i don't do as she instructed she I going to kill him"
"And Jake is the only family I have, I cant afford to loose him"
"That's so sad" I said
"But do you know her present location?" Ryan asked
"Yes"
"Take us there and I'll safe your brother and drop any charges against you"
"Okay, she is 50 Brooklyn street"
"Let's go" one of the cops said
Finally, we will be capturing Jessie
I can't believe she is too desperate
No one should ever be as desperate as she is
Authoress Amy's POV
They got to Jessie's house and the cops went In
They brought out a guy
"Jake" Ivy screamed
"Miriam" Jake called out
"Miriam? Who is Miriam?" Audrey asked
"Oh my name is Miriam, Ivy is just my disguise name"
"Well, where is Jessie?"
"We couldn't find her" the cops said
"Huh?" I asked
"Watch out Audrey" Jake screamed
Ryan immediately pushed Audrey out of way
They both landed on the floor
Jessie missed her target
"Damn it" Jessie cursed
One of the cops shot her in her left leg as she made an attempt to shoot again
"Ouch" she winced in pain
They carried her into the ambulance car and drove away
Ryan's POV
I am so happy, finally I can be together with Audrey again
The only thing remaining now is my mum
I just hope she recovers fast
I can't wait for Audrey to be all mine
I kissed her on her lips
"I love you so much Audrey and nothing and no one will change that" i said
"I love you too Ryan"
Authoress Amy's POV
Weeks passed and Ryan's mum got better
Jessie has been put behind bars after been treated
Audrey's POV
"You know Audrey, you are like the daughter I never had and I'm so lucky to have you in my life"
"Thanks mum" i said
"Audrey, i really need to apologize to you, i know i already did that but that was when I was sick"
"I want to officially apologize to you now since I'm hail and healthy"
"You see, the only reason, I'm alive today is because of you"
"I don't hate you, i was only scared, i was scared because i thought you will also break his heart. It is every mother's dream to see her son happy and that's what i wanted for Ryan."
"But clearly i was wrong about you, you truly love my son. Hope you can forgive me"
I held her hand and stared at her crying
"I understand everything and like i said before I don't hold any grudge against you. And i already take you as my mum now, so you are forgiven"
"Thank you so much"
"You are welcome"
"Mum, can i see you?" Ryan said
"Sure"
Ryan's pov
"Mum, I can see you guys are bonding well"
"Yes we are, she is really a nice lady"
"Told you so"
" sorry I doubted you son"
"Its okay mum"

"Yes son"
"I want you to take Audrey out"
"Why?"
"Am planning a surprise for her and i wouldn't want her to be here"
"Where should i take her?"
"Anywhere your choice"
"Okay"
"Audrey, we are going out" she yelled

"Why do i have to put on this dress?" i asked with an eye roll
"Because you have to look beautiful for Ryan"
"Haven't i always be beautiful?"
"You've, but tonight is special"

"Don't worry, you will see"

We got to the house and Ryan's mom as i now call her 'mom' opened the door
Don't tell me its another dinner party
She turned on the light as we got in
"Surprise!!" everyone yelled
Why are they many people here?
Okay this is so confusing

Okay i guess putting on this dress was a great idea
I stared down and saw Ryan kneeling at my front
"Audrey?"
"Yes Ryan?" I said holding back my tears
"Will you marry me?"
